Terms of service
Plain words, legally real. These terms are a contract between you and Workbird LLC, the company that operates StayPage, and they incorporate our privacy policy and cookie policy.
1. The service
StayPage provides digital guest journals for vacation rentals: printable QR codes, a guest page editor that works without an account, and journal pages organized by home and year with either a public or homeowner-only audience. By creating a host account or finishing a guest page, you agree to these terms. If you use StayPage on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf too and you promise you have the authority to do so.
2. Who can use StayPage
Host accounts are for adults, eighteen or older, managing properties they actually have the right to manage. Guests do not need accounts at all; a guest under eighteen should be writing with an adult from their party. If we reasonably believe an account misrepresents who it is or what it manages, we can suspend it.
3. Host accounts
Hosts sign in with email links; there are no passwords to protect, but you are responsible for the mailbox behind your account and for everyone you invite into your organization. Keep your journal honest: only connect homes you actually manage.
4. Guest pages and consent
Guests own what they create. Before a page is finished, the guest chooses Public journal or Homeowner only and confirms that audience for the page, its photos, and its words. A public page may be displayed to future guests and anyone with its journal link. A homeowner-only page is stored in the journal but shown only to the account owner or a person explicitly granted owner access to that home. The host may not change a homeowner-only page to public without fresh consent from the guest. By saving either kind, the guest grants the host and StayPage a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, back up, and display the page only to the audience the guest selected, for as long as it remains in the journal. Guests can edit for 24 hours after saving; removal requests are always honored (section 7).
5. Acceptable use
Content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or invades someone's privacy is not allowed and can be removed by hosts or by us. Hosts are responsible for moderating their journals; every home can require host approval before pages go public. Do not probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or otherwise abuse the service; do not upload malware or content you have no right to share. We may suspend accounts that do, with notice where practicable.
6. Plans, trials, and billing
Plans are billed through Stripe on the exact terms shown at checkout and can be changed or canceled any time from the billing portal. Trials are free and convert only if you let them; cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. If a price ever changes, we tell existing subscribers by email at least thirty days before it affects them, never mid-cycle. If a subscription lapses, nothing is deleted: journals become read-only, remain online, and are retained for at least twelve months, with email warnings before any scheduled deletion. If you downgrade past your plan's home limit, extra homes lock rather than disappear, and existing published pages are never destroyed by a billing state. If a charge ever feels wrong, reach us through the support chat on any page and we will make it right; nothing here limits any statutory refund rights you have.
7. Your data
The journal belongs to you and your guests. Hosts can download every home's journal from the dashboard at any time, as a keepsake PDF or a complete JSON archive with photo links. For a permanent deletion of an account, a home, or a single page, reach us through the support chat and it happens; anyone who appears on a page can request its removal via the Report link or the support chat. 8. Our stuff
The proprietary parts of the StayPage software, design, brand, and original artwork arrangements are ours or our licensors' and stay that way; these terms give you a right to use the service, not to copy those proprietary materials. Third-party and openly licensed materials are identified in our credits and notices and remain governed by their stated licenses. Nothing in these terms narrows the rights those licenses grant you. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation, which is the only polite way we could actually act on them.
9. Ending things
You can stop using StayPage and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms, and where practicable we warn first and export help is always available. Sections about content licenses, liability, governing law, and your data survive the end of the contract.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as-is and as available. We work hard to keep journals safe, available, and backed up, but we make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for guest-created content. You are responsible for claims that arise from your own journals' content to the extent they are caused by your breach of these terms. To the fullest extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled directly will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both sides consent to the jurisdiction of those courts; either side may instead use small claims court where its rules allow.
12. The boilerplate
These terms plus the policies they incorporate are the entire agreement between us and replace every earlier conversation. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing a term today does not waive it tomorrow. You may not assign this contract without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or sale that honors it. Neither side is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. Legal notices to us must be sent through the support chat on staypage.co; notices to you go to your account email.
13. Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we email hosts before the change takes effect. Continuing to use StayPage after that is acceptance of the new terms. Questions belong in the support chat on any page.
